From Santo Domingo to Cabarete

This is definitely the easiest, fastest and most comfortable way to get from Santo Domingo to Cabarete. Especially if you are travelling with a number of people the cost gets reduced exponentially.

There is no direct connection with a bus service from Santo Domingo airport, nor are there are any direct bus connections from Santo Dimingo to Cabarete. To get to either of the two bus stations in Santo Domingo that service the North Coast you will need to take a taxi.

From Santo Domingo there are two bus companies that go to the north coast, and both go as far as Sosua. From there you'll need to take another taxi to get to Cabarete. Bus company Caribe Tours has numerous connections every day. Metro Tours has fewer connections but has a better track record of running on time.

Each leave from their own bus station in Santo Domingo so be sure to specify to your taxi driver which one you want to go to. Travel time from Santo Domingo bus station to Sosua bus station is approximately five hours.
